Take 2 of These...

Take a couple of Ibuprofen or Tylenol 30-45 minutes before your appointment. This will help to reduce any skin sensitivity or inflammation.

Hot Points...

Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can heighten sensitivity. Pregnancy and menstruation can also heighten sensitivity.

Help the Cause...

Exfoliation will help to weaken hair follicles and remove dead skin cells to allow for a cleaner wax. Gently exfoliate the area to be waxed 24 hours before your appointment.

You Can’t Have Just One...

It is recommended to wax 2-3 days before any special occasion or event. If possible it is best to have 2-3 waxing treatments apart to determine skin sensitivity and ensure a clean wax. It is not uncommon to have a little stubble after a first time wax.

Pre Care Tips

Exfoliate the Skin: Gently exfoliate the skin a day or two before your waxing session using waXon Buff Off. This helps remove dead skin cells, allowing the wax to adhere to the hair more effectively and reducing the likelihood of ingrown hairs.
• Avoid Sun Exposure: It's recommended to avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 24 hours before waxing. Sunburned or overly tanned skin can be more sensitive, and waxing on such skin may cause irritation.
• Hair Length Matters: Ensure that your hair is at the appropriate length for waxing. Generally, about 3-4 weeks of hair growth. Hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long for optimal results. If it's too short, the wax may not grip the hair well, and if it's too long, please leave it up to our waXpert to trim it to the recommended length - to avoid hair being trimmed too short.
• Stay Hydrated: Proper hydration is crucial for healthy skin. Drink plenty of water leading up to your waxing appointment to keep your skin hydrated. Well-hydrated skin tends to be more elastic and can endure the waxing process with less discomfort.
• Pain Relievers: If you're concerned about pain, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 30-60 minutes before your appointment. Always follow the recommended dosaje.
• Relax: Try to stay relaxed during the appointment. Deep breaths and a positive mindset can help minimize discomfort. Remember that everyone's pain tolerance is different, and the discomfort is often temporary. Following these tips can contribute to a more pleasant waxing experience.
• Before a facial or chemical peel, avoid using harsh skincare products containing retinoids or acids for a few days to prevent irritation.
• Inform your skincare professional about any recent sun exposure or medications, as this can impact the treatment.
• Stay hydrated and moisturize your skin in the days leading up to the appointment for better results and reduced post-peel dryness.
Arrive with Clean Lashes: Make sure your lashes are clean and free from any makeup or residue. Avoid using oil-based makeup removers before your appointment.
Remove Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, it's a good idea to remove them before the lash lift procedure.
Avoid Curling: Refrain from curling your lashes before the appointment, as the technician will shape and lift them during the process.
Communicate Preferences: If you have a specific style or outcome in mind, communicate it with your lash technician before the procedure.
Arrive Makeup-Free: Similar to a lash lift, come to your appointment with clean lashes and brows. Avoid wearing mascara or brow makeup.
Communicate Color Preferences: Discuss the color you desire with the technician. They can help you choose a shade that complements your natural features.
Remove Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, it's a good idea to remove them before the tinting procedure.
Relax During the Process: The tinting process may take some time, so try to relax during the procedure. It's a great opportunity for some self-care.
Avoid Sun Exposure: After tinting, it's advisable to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours, as the tint may be more susceptible to fading.
Follow Aftercare Instructions: Your technician will provide aftercare instructions. Follow them carefully to ensure the tint lasts longer and looks its best.
• Before teeth whitening, ensure your teeth are clean by brushing and flossing to remove any surface stains and plaque.
• Consider using a desensitizing toothpaste a few weeks before whitening to minimize tooth sensitivity during and after the whitening process.
• Before your teeth whitening appointment, avoid staining agents like coffee, tea, soda, red wine, and dark fruits. Maintain good dental hygiene, gently brush on the day of the appointment, and opt for non-acidic foods and water to prep your teeth for the whitening process.
• Recommended not Required For prolonged whitening effects, it's recommended to schedule a dental checkup a few days before your whitening appointment. This allows for a quick checkup and the removal of any existing tooth stains, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the whitening process.
